Jason R. Brown
A graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia, and Vanderbilt University Law School, Judge Brown brought over sixteen years of trial experience to the bench when he was appointed in January, 2005. He represented individuals and a variety of businesses, banks, medical providers, governmental entities and sureties, in courts across Missouri and Kansas.
During his eighteen years of service as a trial judge in Greene County (Springfield) MO, Judge Brown conducted over 100 jury trials and several hundred bench trials, including claims of personal injury, medical negligence, employment discrimination, and a variety of complex business, commercial, real estate and construction disputes.
As his consistently high scores on the judicial performance evaluations reflect, Judge Brown brings his experience, evaluative insight, compassion and work ethic to the mediation process. He values the critical role mediation plays in assisting litigants to achieve their goal of efficient and meaningful case resolution.
